VENEERS

Easily correct imperfections.

Smiling Mature Woman with Gray Hair

Veneers are designed to fit over your front teeth to help improve teeth that are discolored, cracked, or too small. Veneers are very thin and made of porcelain or a tooth-colored material called composite. The biggest benefit of veneers is improving the look of your smile.

Before treatment, you will meet with your dentist to discuss if veneers are the right option for you. During the appointment, your dentist may take x-rays to ensure your teeth are healthy enough to support veneers.  Once you and your dentist have decided that veneers are right for you, there will be several appointments before your new smile is complete.

TAKING CARE OF VENEERS AFTER PLACEMENT

You can eat and chew as you normally would but be cautious if biting into hard foods with your front teeth. Thorough but gentle flossing and regular cleanings are recommended to avoid staining and discoloration around your veneers. If you clench or grind your teeth at night, your dentist may recommend a nightguard to protect your veneers from fracture.

If you have any questions about veneers, please reach out to your doctor at Southdale Dental Associates.
