What is now Southdale Dental Associates, P.A., began back in 1970 when Dr. James Mitchell and Dr. Lee Odland merged their dental practices and began what today has become one of the premier dental practices in the United States.

In 1972, Dr. Don Watson joined Dr.’s Mitchell and Odland as the group became officially known as the Southdale Dental Center, P.A. In 1973 and 1975, Dr. Jim Raymond and Dr. Gary Rene, respectively, were added to the staff of dentists. In 1975 the office moved from the corner of 65th and Drew Avenue South, across the street to a newly furnished office in Suite #390 in the Southdale Medical Building, where the group remained until 1990.

After that, the group moved to the beautiful Centennial Lakes Medical Center, residing on the top floor with panoramic views of the city. As Drs. Don Watson, Jim Mitchell, Lee Odland, and Steve Johnson retired after successful careers, Southdale Dental Associates added Dr. Tom Telander, Dr. Mark Bettes, and Dr. Sachin Mehta. One thing has never changed – the highest level of customer service and quality dentistry for our "family" of patients.

We are located on the top floor in Suite 600 at the Centennial Lakes Medical Center on France Ave S. and Parklawn.
